Frequently Asked Questions

Below you will find some of the most common questions we get asked. Take a look before getting in touch and hopefully your question will be answered. If you cannot find the answer to your question, do not hesitate to get in touch.

Frozen Delivery & Packaging

All our venison is delivered frozen (unless clearly specified otherwise). Freezing locks in freshness and flavour — and makes it easier for you to store until needed.

We use eco-friendly insulated packaging with food-safe ice packs to keep your order frozen during transit. All packaging is recyclable or compostable where possible.

Yes. Our packaging is designed to keep produce frozen for up to 48 hours. Just make sure someone is available to receive the delivery or provide a safe place for the courier to leave it.

If it’s still cold and partially frozen, it’s perfectly safe to refreeze. If it’s completely thawed and no longer cold to the touch, please contact us right away and do not consume the product.

Storage & Cooking

Pop it straight into your freezer unless you plan to use it within 2 days — in which case, refrigerate it to thaw gradually.

Defrost overnight in the fridge. Avoid defrosting in warm water or the microwave, as this can affect the texture and quality.

Our frozen venison has a use-by date of up to one year when kept frozen.
